Analyze Your Skin

At Advanced Regenerative Therapy, our practitioners rely on the Optic Slim Skin Analysis System to capture multiple images and accurately assess the condition of your skin. The Optic Slim Scanner identifies damage from UV rays, emerging wrinkles, clogged pores, skin moisture, pigmentation, and more.

This technology helps us see hidden problem areas and allows our aestheticians to develop highly-personalized solutions and targeted product recommendations based on your skin analysis results.

Medical Grade Chemical Skin Peels

Chemical peels are a safe and non-invasive technique to resurface your skin and remove dull, discolored, or damaged layers of the epidermis to reveal fresh, glowing skin. Medical-grade chemical peels use a higher concentration of acids than over-the-counter peels, and should only be performed by a qualified medical professional.

While they are most commonly used as a facial treatment, chemical peels can be performed anywhere on the body. There are three levels of medical-grade chemical peels, each with a different purpose and downtime.

Superficial Facial Peels

The lightest level of peel, superficial peels use Alpha Hydroxy Acids (AHAs) or Beta Hydroxy Acids (BHAs) to gently exfoliate the outermost layer of skin.

This type of peel is often used to treat mild acne, dry skin, wrinkles, and uneven skin tone.

Superficial peels have very little downtime, if any. You may experience some redness and swelling immediately after the treatment, but this should subside within a few hours.

Medium Facial Peels

A step up from superficial peels, medium peels penetrate deeper into the skin to remove damaged cells from the middle layer of skin, or dermis.

Medium peels are often used to treat moderate acne, scars, age spots, and wrinkles.

The most common medium peel is the glycolic acid peel. You can expect some redness and swelling immediately after the treatment, as well as some peeling in the days following. Downtime typically lasts 3-7 days.

Deep Facial Peels

The deepest level of peel, deep peels use TCA (trichloroacetic acid) or phenol to penetrate all the way to the deepest layer of skin, the hypodermis. Deep skin peels are used to treat severe sun damage, deeper wrinkles, and some precancerous growths.

TCA and phenol peels are very strong and should only be performed by a qualified medical professional. You can expect redness, swelling, and crusted skin immediately following the treatment.

Chemical Skin Peels in our Atlanta Office

Chemical peels are a safe and non-invasive technique to resurface your skin and remove dull, discolored, or damaged layers of the epidermis to reveal fresh, glowing skin. Medical-grade chemical peels use a higher concentration of acids than over-the-counter peels, and should only be performed by a qualified medical professional.

While they are most commonly used as a facial treatment, chemical peels can be performed anywhere on the body. There are three levels of medical-grade chemical peels, each with a different purpose and downtime.

TCA Peels

The TCA peel uses trichloroacetic acid to remove dull and damaged outer layers of skin to reveal softer, smoother underlying skin. This medium chemical peel is often recommended for reducing acne scars, evening skin tone and texture, and smoothing out fine lines. The TCA facial treatment offers a more dramatic effect than lighter peels, but requires a shorter recovery time than stronger treatments.

Salicylic Acid Peel

Salicylic acid peels are especially beneficial for acne-prone skin and can aid in the reduction of scarring. The peel’s antibacterial properties help treat oily skin and improve overall skin texture. Additionally, salicylic acid has been shown to improve the appearance of:

  • Fine lines
  • Sun damage
  • Hyperpigmentation
  • Melasma

With this lighter peel, you should be able to resume normal activity shortly after treatment.

Jessner Peel

The Jessner peel features a powerful combination of three skincare solutions: resorcinol, lactic acid, and salicylic acid. This triple treatment works more effectively than other comparable procedures without the associated side effects of deeper peels.

Jessner peels are an excellent choice for individuals wanting to improve the appearance of scars and blemishes, reduce acne, and attain a brighter, smoother complexion.

Glycolic Acid Peel

Glycolic acid peels are ideal for improving the look of fine lines. They’re also used to treat rosacea, blemishes, and large pores. With alpha hydroxy acids to gently unclog oil-filled sebaceous glands and exfoliate the skin, Glycolic acid peels encourage cellular turnover and help even out overall skin tone.

As one of the most gentle skin peels, there is minimal downtime with glycolic acid facial treatments, and most patients only experience mild redness or discomfort. Best results are achieved when glycolic acid peels are performed on a regular basis.

Facials

Facials are a luxurious and indulgent way to improve the health and appearance of your skin. A facial can help to unclog pores, remove dead skin cells, and nourish the skin with essential vitamins and minerals.

Facials are available in a variety of types and can be tailored to meet the specific needs of your skin. Whether you’re looking for a deep-cleansing facial or a relaxing and rejuvenating spa treatment, our team of skilled aestheticians can help you achieve your skincare goals.

Enzymatic Facials

We use enzymatic facials to deep clean and exfoliate the skin. Instead of harsh acids, these facials rely on enzymes from fruit or marine collagen to break down dead skin cells, sebum, and other impurities. The enzymatic facial is safe for sensitive skin, and leaves your face looking and feeling refreshed.

The enzymatic facial treatment begins with a deep cleansing and the application of the enzymes. These are left to work on the skin for 10-15 minutes before being removed. The final step is the application of a hydrating mask to soothe and protect the skin.

You may experience a tingling sensation during the treatment and see some slight redness afterward, but there is no downtime associated with enzymatic facials.
